Our story

ŞAMPİYON KOKOREÇ started its journey in 1962 as a small establishment in Beyoğlu Fish Market by the brothers Galip and Necati Tokgöz. Over time, this small business, without any promotion or advertising, became a city legend, and when it came to kokoreç, it became the first name that came to mind in Istanbul and then all of Turkey.

ŞAMPİYON KOKOREÇ took its first step towards branding by registering its name in 1994. Starting from 1995, ŞAMPİYON KOKOREÇ, in order to offer its flavors to all Istanbulites, began to expand by opening their own branches as a family. After receiving intense franchise requests, franchising began in 2000, and the expansion and branding process continued.

Today, our flavor network, which has reached 39 branches, continues to expand rapidly. In 2016, Süleyman Tokgöz took over the brand and continues with a new generation perspective and principles.

All production and logistics departments have been brought in line with European standards. Currently, all our products are shipped to all of Turkey from production to our customers' tables with cold chain, in a hygienic and food-safe manner.
